Our advice and practical information

Getting ready for your e-bike ride

To make the most of your visit to the Marne Valley, here are a few tips before you set off:

  • Download the free OpenRunner app on your smartphone before you arrive. We’ll show you how to follow your route when we hand over the bikes.
  • Bring a fully charged phone: every bike has a smartphone holder.
  • Wear closed shoes and comfortable clothes suited to the weather. Avoid loose clothing that could get caught in the bike’s moving parts.
  • Bring water, especially on hot days.
  • Arrive about 30 minutes before your departure for check-in, bike set-up and the safety briefing.

You may be asked for ID or a deposit, depending on your booking terms.

(During high season, from April to October, it is strongly recommended to book your table in advance at restaurants such as: Le P’tit Boursault, Le Bateau Lavoir, Le Moulin Carré, Le Clotaire, etc.)

Because your safety is our priority:

Before you set off on your bike we invite you to consult “here” the main road safety recommendations regarding risk prevention.

To be seen by other road users, Vélobourso strongly recommends that you wear a helmet and a fluorescent vest provided at the station.

For your safety (and comfort), Vélobourso recommends that you use quiet, paved roads whenever possible (our “Le P’tit VB Tour” and “Le Super VB Tour” routes adhere to these recommendations), and that you strictly adhere to the highway code.

Vélobourso reminds you that the hybrid bike provided is not compatible with unpaved roads and trails. (This recommendation may help you avoid a possible flat tire.)

For any other information or practical advice, Antoine will be happy to answer your questions when you pick up your VTC.
